Blog revamp!
Four months on from our first inspiring meeting with Antonio Gould, social media consultant, our blog has begun, but it's not quite working out. Today, three of the Launchpad team sat in on Antonio's blogging seminar, similar to the talk he did at Etsy in New York. During the seminar, Antonio asked the team how we felt the blog was going, and more importantly he asked our audience what they wanted from our blog. Two great suggestions were an opportunity to feedback and respond to the service we provide and the training sessions we put on, as well as a list of useful resources that we commonly refer people to. Well, I'm at home so I don't have access to the resources at the moment, but I'll add them soon. In the meantime, the twenty people that attended all promised to visit our blog and comment on it... and let's hope they do!

Hi Bianca
I really enjoyed the seminar. I see that your blog is a bit similar to mine - ie not much happening.
Im hoping Antonio's seminar will put a rocket up the proverbial, because every time I think about my blog, I feel really excited then every time I sit down to post something I feel all cramped and neurotic - and Im a journalist!!!
The workshop made me think that maybe years of traditional media work may be actually making me MORE repressed. Or maybe it's my age.
anyway my blog is at http://cycletouring.wordpress.com/
and another one at http://woodworkerswife.wordpress.com/
I thought the workshop was excellent - very inspiring. I've revisited Fickr and updated some images after a famiy walk yesterday www.flickr.com/thefoxonline
Have vowed to thoroughly explore the bogging world and see how it can relate to projects we're working on.

Hi ... Adam from the Blogging/Podcasting workshop (came in late and sat to the right). A resource list and a chance to listen and ask questions to a knowledgable source helps to cut down on the surf time that would otherwise be spent when trying to set up these things on your own, with just a computer and the internet. At Film City we are keen to set up potential blogs for use by groups on our various film projects, but I think it is useful to get into these things yourself as it can be useful and fun given the right state of mind and any gained knowledge can be subsequently passed on. We are also interested in vodcasts and hope to set up some soon ... am getting into the feel of it first by subscribing to other vodcasts ... haven't got a blog or podcast to link to as yet but hopefully won't be too long ... the website we are setting up is http://www.filmcity.tv which will hopefully have full blog capabilities by the new year.
Thanks again to Antonio and the CL team, and hi to everyone else.

Workshop was excellent. I have now set up my own blog:
http://urben.wordpress.com/
I now also have a del.icio.us account which is very addictive and so useful.
Plan to go through my notes this week and really build on what I learnt at Antonio's seminar. I am still buzzing from everything covered. Well done Creative Launchpad. Special Thanks to Antonio for all the tips on the way there and thank you for the lift Bianca
